Knowledge Management System
Chartered Management Institute (CMI) & British Computer Society (BCS).
Develop Knowledge Management system and deliver presentations on KM to CMI and BCS. Convey to members how KM theory and systems can be used within their business to provide more effective working platforms.
An integrated system was produced using Dot Net 2003 and SQL server 2000 platforms together with Web Service technology.
The database provides a store of all company skills and how these can be best used on project. Team building is another important aspect of the application and it uses polling techniques to enable the physical or virtual team to evolve as the project develops. In this way the organisation's knowledge assets are exploited. The system matches availability of skills, competences and experience to needs throughout the project's life cycle.
Uldis Revelins - Coventry Clothing Centre:
"I was very satisfied with the delivery of the presentations. They provided a very clear business message. Government bodies could also benefit immensely from the use of KM."
